Problem Size is built for children. We designed it to collect as little information as possible.
Problem Size does not require an account and does not ask for your child's name, email, photos, or location. All learning progress (XP, streaks, badges, and completed stories) is stored only on this device using Apple's on-device database.
If the optional AI coaching feature is enabled, the text of a practice story and the selected answer may be sent to OpenAI to generate an encouraging explanation. No personal information about your child is included. If AI is not configured, the app uses built-in offline explanations and sends nothing.
We keep simple usage counts (such as sessions completed) on the device to power the Parent Dashboard. This information never leaves the device and is not sold or shared.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because data stays on the device and no account is created, there is nothing for us to access or sell.
The Parent Dashboard is protected by a passcode you create. You may delete all stored data at any time by deleting the app.
